Cocoa Butter
INCI: Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter
What It Is
Cocoa butter is a rich, creamy plant butter extracted from the seeds of the cacao tree. Naturally high in fatty acids, it deeply nourishes the skin while helping to improve elasticity, smoothness, and moisture retention.
Why We Use It
We use cocoa butter to add long-lasting moisture, soften dry skin, and support a healthy skin barrier. It brings a dense, luxurious texture to our balms and creams while delivering antioxidant benefits and a subtle natural chocolate aroma.
Origin & How Itβs Made
Cocoa butter is sourced from cacao beans grown in tropical regions. After harvesting, the beans are fermented, dried, roasted, and pressed to extract the fat. The resulting butter is then filtered and solidified, preserving its rich emollient and antioxidant properties.
