Glycerin
INCI: Glycerin
What It Is
Glycerin is a clear, odorless, water-soluble liquid that functions as a humectant—meaning it draws moisture into the skin. It’s a powerful hydrator that helps maintain the skin’s softness, smoothness, and elasticity.
Why We Use It
We use glycerin to boost skin hydration, improve moisture retention, and enhance the overall texture of our water-based formulas. It supports a healthy skin barrier and works synergistically with other ingredients to deliver lasting comfort and suppleness.
Origin & How It’s Made
Glycerin is sourced from plant oils such as soy, coconut, or palm. It is produced through a process called hydrolysis, where natural fats are broken down to release glycerol. The resulting glycerin is then purified for cosmetic use.
