Sugar

INCI: Sucrose

What It Is

Sucrose, commonly known as sugar, is a natural crystalline carbohydrate derived from plants. In skincare, it’s used primarily as a gentle physical exfoliant to help slough away dead skin cells and reveal smoother, brighter skin.

Why We Use It

We use sugar in our body scrubs to provide effective yet gentle exfoliation. Its fine granules polish the skin without causing microtears, while its natural humectant properties help attract moisture during use.

Origin & How It’s Made

Sugar is sourced from sugarcane or sugar beets. The plant juice is extracted, purified, and crystallized into granules through a process of evaporation and filtration, resulting in a clean, food-grade exfoliant suitable for natural skincare formulations.
